The story behind EzyDog

EzyDog is an Australian brand founded by outdoor types who happened to also be serious dog people. The original mission was simple: build dog gear that survives real conditions. Salt water, sand, mud, daily use, the lot. Their products got a reputation early for outlasting cheaper imports, and the range has grown steadily across two decades of refinement.

The whole catalogue is built around three things: durability, safety, and design that actually works in the field. EzyDog's Zero Shock leash technology and award-winning Chest Plate Harness are the two products you'll see most often, but the rest of the range is just as well-engineered.

Why we stocked it

We get asked the same question on a regular basis: "what harness do you recommend for a strong puller?" or "which life jacket actually fits a Frenchie?" After running through a few different brands, EzyDog kept coming up as the answer. So we've started carrying the range so you can grab gear at pickup or drop-off without making a separate trip.

Their gear is built for Gold Coast dogs specifically: rust-resistant hardware, neoprene materials that dry quickly after a beach run, and reflective stitching for early-morning walks. The range covers everything from a 5kg Cavoodle to a 50kg Rottweiler.

Harnesses

The Chest Plate Harness is EzyDog's flagship product and probably the single most-recommended dog harness in Australia. The design distributes pulling pressure across the chest rather than the neck, which matters for breeds prone to tracheal issues (Pugs, Frenchies, small terriers) and for big dogs that pull. The chest plate is moulded EVA foam that conforms to your dog's shape over time.

The Convert Harness sits a step up for dogs that need a heavier-duty option. Reinforced stitching, rugged hardware, designed for adventure-grade use.

Both harnesses convert into car restraints with the EzyDog seat-belt attachment.

Collars

The Neo Classic Collar uses the same neoprene material as wetsuits, which means it dries fast and doesn't hold smell. Good for swimmers and dogs that get into anything they can roll in.

The Double Up Collar has dual D-rings for added control on bigger dogs or pullers in training.

Leashes

The Zero Shock Leash is the standout product across the whole brand. A built-in shock-absorbing section between the lead and your hand softens the impact when a dog hits the end of the lead at a run. Easier on your shoulder and on your dog's neck.

The Road Runner Leash is hands-free, designed for runners. It clips around your waist and keeps your hands free for everything else.

Life jackets

The DFD (Doggy Flotation Device) is the safest option we've found for water-loving dogs. Adjustable straps for a snug fit, reflective piping for visibility, and proper buoyancy that keeps the dog level in the water rather than tipped forward. Suits boating, paddleboarding and unsupervised beach swims with strong dogs.

Adventure backpacks

The Summit Backpack lets bigger dogs carry their own water and treats on longer hikes. Ergonomic weight distribution, adjustable for growing dogs, and tough enough to handle proper trail use.

The range is in the studio in Miami and you're welcome to come in for a look during opening hours, Tuesday to Saturday 8am to 4pm. Sizing-wise, we'll measure your dog properly so you walk out with gear that actually fits. Bring your dog if you can, fitting is much easier with them present.
