Pets Juicy Terms & Conditions

By booking with Pets Juicy, you agree to the terms and conditions below.
Please read them so we can look after your dog properly and keep everyone safe.

Confidentiality

We know you trust us with your dog and sometimes with personal information. We will treat any confidential information you share with respect and will not disclose it except:

  • To staff who need it to care for your dog
  • Where you have given us permission
  • Where we are required to by law

Health, Vaccination & Parasite Control

To keep all dogs happy and healthy:

  • Your dog must be up to date with vaccinations (including C5 or equivalent)
  • Your dog must be regularly treated for fleas, ticks and worms
  • You must tell us about any existing injuries, illnesses, allergies or conditions
  • You must tell us if your dog has recently been unwell, had vomiting or diarrhoea, or been in contact with a contagious disease

If health requirements are not met, or your dog arrives obviously unwell, we may refuse service or end the booking. Fees already paid may be retained.

Desexing, Dogs In Heat & Pregnancy

Desexing is not required for grooming or daycare.

However, for daycare and any situation where dogs may mix:

  • You must tell us if your female dog is in heat or coming into heat
  • Females in heat are not permitted during their heat period
  • They must also stay home for at least two weeks after the last spotting

If you do not tell us your dog is in heat, or you bring a dog you suspect may be in heat, you accept full responsibility for any consequences, including accidental mating or pregnancy.

If your dog becomes pregnant at or around the time of attendance at Pets Juicy (including where mating occurs with another dog at Pets Juicy or as a result of dogs meeting through Pets Juicy):

  • You agree that Pets Juicy is not responsible in any way
  • You indemnify us against all claims, costs or disputes related to the pregnancy, whelping or pups
  • We will not pay breeding costs, vet bills or legal fees related to the pregnancy

This is about safety and welfare for all dogs, not judging yours.

Surveillance & Security Cameras

For safety and security, our premises are monitored by CCTV.

Footage may be used for:

  • Safety and incident review
  • Staff training and quality control
  • Security and loss prevention
  • Insurance, legal or behavioural review if there is an incident

On occasion, carefully selected clips may be used for social media or marketing where appropriate.

CCTV footage is not a public live stream. It is not sold or given to third parties except where reasonably required for safety, legal, insurance or business reasons, or as required by law.

Photos, Video, POV Cameras & Social Media

We love showing real dogs living their best lives at Pets Juicy. By booking with us and entering our premises, you agree that:

  1. Your dog may be photographed and/or filmed during grooming, daycare or other activities
  2. We may use photos and video of your dog for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to:
  • Our website
  • Social media platforms
  • Printed materials
  • Online advertising
  • Training and internal education

We may use standard cameras, security cameras and POV or chest-mounted cameras worn by staff or safely attached to equipment or harnesses.

We focus on the dogs and our team, not on you. However:

  • People may appear incidentally in the background of photos or video
  • By entering the premises, you consent to incidental capture of your image in this way

If you strongly object to your dog being used in publicly shared content, please let us know in writing. We will do our best to respect this, but we cannot guarantee your dog is never captured in any media.

Behaviour, Aggression & Safety

We want a safe, calm environment for all dogs and staff.

You must tell us honestly if your dog has any history of:

  • Aggression or reactivity towards dogs or people
  • Biting, snapping, lunging or guarding
  • Severe anxiety or stress in new places or with handling

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse or discontinue service if your dog’s behaviour poses a risk to staff, other dogs or themselves
  • Separate or modify activities for individual dogs
  • Muzzle a dog where appropriate for safety
  • End a session early if your dog is not coping or is unsafe

If your dog injures another dog, person or staff member, you are responsible for any reasonable veterinary, medical or repair costs arising from that incident.

Clear Instructions & Honest Updates

To give your dog the best and safest groom or daycare day, we need clear, current information from you every time.

By booking, you agree to:

  • Give specific instructions for each groom, wash or daycare booking
  • Not rely on vague phrases like ā€œsame as last timeā€ or ā€œyou know what to doā€
  • Understand that coats, seasons, age and behaviour change over time, so we cannot guarantee the exact same result every visit
  • Tell us about any recent changes in behaviour, health, anxiety, medication, injuries or mobility

We will always try to follow reasonable requests, but we cannot perform magic. Coat length, matting, weather, age and your dog’s tolerance all affect what is possible in one session.

If your dog is difficult to handle, very anxious, aggressive, or simply ā€œa lotā€, we will tell you honestly. This is for safety and welfare, not judgement.

Dog Injuries, Illness & Emergency Vet Care

We take care with every dog, but grooming and group environments carry inherent risks.

By booking with Pets Juicy, you acknowledge that:

  • Dogs may experience minor nicks, clipper irritation, brush burn, nail quicking or stress-related issues
  • Daycare and group settings can result in rough play, scratches, sprains or other incidental injuries
  • Dogs with existing health conditions, advanced age, anxiety or matting carry higher risk during grooming and daycare

If your dog becomes ill or injured while in our care:

  • We will attempt to contact you on the numbers you have provided
  • If we cannot reach you quickly, or in an emergency, you authorise us to seek veterinary care at our discretion

You agree:

  • To pay all veterinary costs and associated expenses for your own dog, including where Pets Juicy has paid the vet directly on your behalf first
  • That Pets Juicy is not responsible for any loss, injury, sickness or death of your dog, except where required by law

This clause does not remove any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Matting, Coat Condition & Grooming Results

Matted coats and poor coat condition can cause discomfort and increase grooming risk.

By presenting a matted or neglected coat, you acknowledge that:

  • Extra grooming time and dematting may incur additional charges
  • In many cases, a short clip may be the only safe option
  • Skin irritation, nicks, brush burn or uncovered pre-existing issues (such as hot spots or sores) may appear once the coat is removed

You authorise our groomers to make judgement calls in the dog’s best interest, including shaving down a coat where required for welfare, even if this is shorter than you would prefer.

Grooming results will vary based on coat condition, previous grooming history, and your dog’s tolerance on the day. We cannot guarantee an exact style, length or outcome.

Daycare: Group Play, Risks & Structure

Our daycare is supervised and structured, but:

  • Dogs interact physically and play styles can vary
  • Small nicks, scratches or play bumps can occur even in well-managed groups
  • Energy may be higher on some days due to weather, numbers or individual dog moods

By using daycare, you accept these normal risks.

We will:

  • Monitor play and step in if things become unsafe
  • Give rest breaks and quiet time
  • Remove or separate dogs who are not coping, are too intense, or are not a good fit for the group

We may suggest that daycare is not suitable for your dog if they are consistently stressed, overwhelmed or unsafe in group settings.

Owner Responsibilities & Indemnity

By using Pets Juicy services, you agree:

  • That all information you provide about your dog is accurate and up to date
  • To update us promptly if your dog’s behaviour or health changes
  • That you remain responsible for your dog and its actions at all times

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you:

  • Release Pets Juicy, its owners, staff and contractors from any claims, demands, losses or damages arising out of or in connection with your dog’s attendance, except where caused by our proven negligence or unlawful act
  • Agree to indemnify Pets Juicy for any costs, loss or damage caused by your dog to other dogs, people, property or our premises, including where we have initially paid a professional vet or other provider to help your animal and then invoice you for those costs

This clause does not exclude any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Personal Property

Please label and limit what you bring.

  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items such as leads, collars, harnesses, clothing or toys left at our facility
  • If your dog causes damage to our equipment, fixtures or property, you agree to cover reasonable repair or replacement costs

Payments, Late Fees & Cancellations

You agree to:

  • Pay all charges for grooming, daycare and any additional services provided
  • Pay any veterinary or emergency costs incurred on your dog’s behalf
  • Make payment on or before pick-up, unless otherwise agreed in writing

Cancellations and lateness:

  • Late arrivals of more than 1 hour without notice may lose their booking and incur a late or no-show fee
  • Cancellations with less than 12 hours’ notice and no-shows may be charged up to 50% of the booking fee
  • Late pick-ups after closing time will incur a $30 fee for every 30 minutes (or part thereof) past our closing time

We may require deposits for certain bookings or busy periods.

Termination of Service

Pets Juicy may temporarily suspend or permanently refuse service if:

  • Your dog is aggressive, unsafe or severely stressed in our environment
  • Health or vaccination requirements are not met
  • Fees remain unpaid
  • Your behaviour towards staff is abusive, threatening or unsafe, in person or online

If we end a service or refuse a future booking for these reasons, any costs for alternative care or transport will be your responsibility.

We are here to look after dogs and run a safe space, not to tolerate abuse.

Changes To These Terms

These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website or by request.

By continuing to use Pets Juicy services after an update, you accept the revised terms.

Acceptance

By ticking ā€œI agreeā€, signing a form, or leaving your dog in our care, you confirm that:

  • You are the legal owner or authorised guardian of the dog
  • You have read, understood and agree to these terms and conditions
  • You are over 18 years of age
