Pick a timeThe groom for coats with an opinion. Warm bath, blow dry, then proper scissor work to bring out the breed shape, whether that's a Schnauzer's skirt, a Spoodle's teddy face or a Cocker's feathering. Your dog leaves looking like the best version of itself.
What's included
- Warm bathWashed with Melanie Newman, an Australian salon range, matched to your dog's coat and skin.
- Blow dry and brush outDried straight and brushed through so the coat sits right and scissors cleanly. Good styling starts with a good dry.
- Clip and breed-specific stylingClipper work to set the length, then shaped to the breed standard or the look you've asked for. This is the part that takes the time.
- Hand-scissored finish and sanitary tidyFace, legs, feet, skirt and a clean sanitary tidy, finished by hand. The detail that makes a style groom look like a style groom.
- Nail clippingTrimmed to a healthy length, filed if your dog tolerates it.
- Ear cleanWiped, checked and tidied. We flag anything that looks off so you can follow up with your vet.
- Finishing spray and bandanaA light spritz and a bandana on the way out.
How it works
01
Drop off
Chat about the cut you want. Bring a photo if you've got a look in mind, and tell us how the coat's travelling.
02
Bath and blow dry
Warm bath with a coat-matched shampoo, then dried straight so the coat scissors cleanly.
03
Style and scissor
Clipper and hand-scissor work to the breed shape. The slow, careful part, and the bit you're paying for.
04
Pickup
We text when your dog's ready, shaped up and pleased with itself.
A style groom takes longer than a clip, usually 2 to 3 hours, because the scissor work can't be rushed. Detailed breeds and thicker coats sit at the upper end.
Pricing by size
We price by your dog's size, and the final price is confirmed at check-in. Pick your size below. If your dog's between sizes, go with the larger one.
| Size | Breed examples |
|---|---|
| Small | Pug, French Bulldog, Boston Terrier, Dachshund |
| Medium | Staffy, Beagle |
| Large | Labrador, Kelpie, Cattle Dog |
| Xtra Large | Great Dane, Rottweiler |

When a style groom is the one to book
Some coats keep growing instead of shedding out like a Labrador's. Poodles, Spoodles, Cavoodles, Schnauzers and Cocker Spaniels all carry coat that grows long, loses its shape and tangles if it's left too long. A style groom keeps the breed shape, the scissor lines and the proportions looking right, not just shorter.
On the Gold Coast that pays off in summer too. A well-shaped coat sheds heat and dries faster after a beach swim, and a clean scissor finish is far less likely to trap sand and salt against the skin. Most styled breeds look their best on a 4 to 6 week cycle.
A note on matting. Curly and woolly coats pelt fast, especially behind the ears, under the legs and around the collar. If the coat's matted we can't always scissor the style you wanted, a tight mat has to come off cleanly for your dog's comfort. Brush between grooms and book on time and we'll keep the full shape. Tell us at booking if you've found any knots.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a Style Groom and a Full Groom?
A Full Groom is an even clip with no breed-specific shaping, quick and neat. A Style Groom adds hand scissoring and breed-correct trimming to give the coat a proper shape. If your dog's coat doesn't need a particular look, a Full Groom will do the job for less.
Which dogs need a Style Groom?
Breeds with coats that grow rather than shed: Poodles, Spoodles, Cavoodles, Schnauzers, Cocker Spaniels, Bichons and the like. If your dog has a recognisable breed cut, this is the one.
Can I bring a photo of the cut I want?
Please do. A photo is the clearest way to show us the length and shape you're after, and we'll tell you honestly what'll work for your dog's coat and skin.
How often should I book one?
Every 4 to 6 weeks keeps the shape sharp. Styled coats grow out of their lines faster than a plain clip, so leaving it longer usually means rebuilding the shape from scratch.
My dog has sensitive skin. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Tell us at booking and we'll switch to a sensitive-skin or medicated shampoo.
What products do you use?
Melanie Newman, an Australian salon range, with options for sensitive skin, medicated needs or general conditioning.
Do you groom puppies?
From around 6 months, yes. For younger pups, start with our Puppy Introduction Groom so their first visit is calm and positive.
Do you take nervous or senior dogs?
Yes. Tell us when you book so we can allow extra settling time and keep the pace calm. Styling takes patience and we're happy to give it.
Do you offer hand stripping?
No, we don't offer hand stripping. We shape with clippers and scissors instead.

We took our two toy poodles in for grooming today and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we walked in, the team was warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do.
They took the time to listen and treated our boys with such care and patience throughout and they came out looking absolutely beautiful! Perfect cuts, soft coats, and so happy & relaxed.
It’s obvious they genuinely care about the dogs, not just the end result. The attention to detail and level of professionalism really stood out. We’ve already rebooked, will definitely be coming back regularly and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality groomer.
Thanks so much guys!
Lots of love from Lenny & Boo 🐕 🐕

Got my senior queen Lady (husky x GSD) groomed here when her regular groomers couldn’t fit her in (they would often cancel as well due to her size and hair type). Pets Juicy did an incredible job - Lady came back happy, smelling fresh and well de-shedded. Really happy with the service and kindness of the staff here, this will be the new go-to spot for our dogs. Thank you for being so accommodating to bigger dogs, which are often seen as a chore by many places. I can see based on reviews you have many larger regulars. Thank you team!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR COCKER SPANIEL OWNERS 🤍
Had such a good experience at Pets Juicy. My dog Monty had the worst mats in his ears and I was honestly so stressed about it. The team were so patient and gentle with him, especially because he’s a bit silly and crazy They really took their time and made sure he was comfortable, and did an amazing job. I honestly wish I took before photos of how matted his ears were because the difference is crazy. So grateful for how kind they were with him. Definitely recommend!

Great job on my mini groodle Coco
★★★★★
Such an amazing place and team. The environment was very calming and relaxing for our dog. It was his first ever professional groom and wow, he looked fantastic. From booking to confirmation to reminder to collection was absolutely brilliant. Our dog didn’t want to leave at the end of his groom leaving with a big smile on his face and one very happy one at that. We have found our forever groomers for our large dog!!
Thanks Pets Juicy

I’ve brought my two pups to Pet’s Juicy a few times now, and every visit has been such a positive experience. The team is incredibly gentle, caring, and clearly loves what they do! My dogs are always excited when we arrive! Their grooms are beautifully done, and they come home smelling amazing and happy every time. I feel completely at ease leaving them in such capable, loving, kind hands. Highly recommend!

Always amazing & professional a great team
★★★★★
Sami looked and felt absolutely fabulous after her long haired deshedding service. The team did an awesome job with my golden girl who hates her nails being trimmed. Our vet couldn’t manage trimming Sami’s nails without sedation but the team ensured she had a proper and perfect dogicure. Being a water lover, Sami had some matting which the team were able to also tidy. 10/10

This was our first time at Pets Juicy and we were very impressed with our visit. It’s a very friendly space and I liked how my pup was able to hang out with the day care dogs while he waited for his cut. Also the staff was very accommodating, booking was easy and prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Awesome groom - our Labradoodle looks so handsome!
★★★★★
Our big beautiful GSD loves this place. Hes very anxious at groomers but the whole vibe is just chill, welcoming and loving. He immediately relaxed and blended in well.
I struggle to take him in public to dog parks as he gets very unhappy, but id happily leave him here as long as needed. Well managed and run.

★★★★★
Highly recommend the Pets juicy team to look after your furry babies. I was so hesitant and nervous as I’d never had my dogs previously looked after but moving interstate and trying to take our family to theme parks left me no choice but to bite the bullet and try. I’m so glad I came across these guys. They put my mind at ease. My dogs were happy to go each day (they went for 3 days). I was updated on the first day with texts and photos to put my nerves at ease. Thank you for such a pleasant experience. Can’t recommend these guys enough. Thank you.

The team truly cares for the dogs as if they were their own, and I feel so comfortable leaving them here for daycare knowing they’re in safe hands. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a professional and loving groomer/daycare.

Great service and great results!
★★★★★
I would highly recommend Pets Juicy . I popped in this morning to see if they could possibly trim my 14 year old Boxers nail's.
I was in Awe... usually Ruby is a shaking mess and stressed in new situations.
Shane took Ruby through to the grooming room and tender to those nails while I waited.
What I witnessed was a serene/happy atmosphere in the doggy daycare area and Ruby was relaxed on the grooming table while her nails were attended to.
Extremely affordable, Kind and Professional experience.
★★★★★
Beautiful results, affordable for all.

My 1 year old labradoodle Bryson had his first full groom this morning and couldn't feel more comfortable and pleased with this service. Very impressed with how patient and helpful Shane was. Bryson wasn't the easiest puppy to groom but with the guidance and advice given, I have no doubt it will get essier and he will be less nervous each time. Have definitely found our new grooming service! Very happy, thank you so much! 🙂

We really appreciate the extra time and care taken to de-fluff our adored fur ball and especially impressed we were not charged extra for the additional time taken. Have already started recommending you and looking forward to seeing you again next month! Thanks again from Sasha and the Spencer Family 🩷🩷🩷
