Eight to ten minutes south along the Gold Coast Highway or Hedges Avenue to Mountain View Avenue, Miami. Allow a bit more through the Broadbeach lights on a market day. Loading zone out the front, free street parking either side, which after a week of apartment parking is a small mercy.

Built for Broadbeach dogs
Broadbeach is the most vertical dog suburb on the Coast. Apartments, a short walk to Kurrawa, the mall for coffee, Pacific Fair when it is too hot to be outside. Dogs here are walked more often than most and almost entirely on hard surfaces.
That does two things we see constantly. Nails wear unevenly on concrete and footpath, and a lot of apartment dogs need them done more often than owners expect, not less. And with no yard and no hose, the practical business of washing a dog becomes a genuine problem. Nobody wants to bath a wet Labrador in an ensuite.
The other Broadbeach pattern is the small dog who is with their person constantly and does not love being handed to a stranger. We keep dogs with the same groomer wherever the diary allows, because a dog that recognises the person holding the clippers is a dog that stands still. For the truly unimpressed, we would rather split the job across two shorter visits than force one long one.

The breeds we see most from Broadbeach
Around Broadbeach the mix leans small and apartment-friendly: Frenchies, Cavoodles, Maltese crosses, Moodles, Pomeranians and Cavaliers, with a solid group of Staffies and the occasional Groodle from the bigger apartments.
Frenchies and other flat-faced breeds need a different approach to drying and handling, and the curly coats need brushing between visits or they mat where you cannot see. We do not offer hand stripping. If your dog has a wire coat that genuinely needs it, we will say so rather than clip a coat that should not be clipped.
Where Broadbeach dogs actually go
Kurrawa Park is the centre of dog life in Broadbeach and the beach is right there, so the council rules are worth knowing.
Dogs are allowed on leash on most Gold Coast beaches, except in designated dog prohibited areas, and they are not permitted within 200 metres of the flagged areas. The City has designated only three beach locations where dogs can be exercised off leash: Tallebudgera Beach, Palm Beach and The Spit. That last point surprises a lot of people. Council rules do change, so it is worth checking the City of Gold Coast dog exercise areas page before you go. We last checked it on 11 August 2026.
Broadbeach is an on-leash beach. The nearest designated off-leash sand to Broadbeach is The Spit to the north or Tallebudgera to the south, both a proper drive. For a closer fenced off-leash run, Pizzey Park on the Miami and Mermaid Waters border is about eight minutes and sits two minutes from our studio, which makes a park-then-groom morning very easy to run.
If your dog is mostly a footpath dog rather than a beach dog, the thing to watch is nails rather than salt. Concrete wears nails unevenly and apartment dogs often need a nail trim between full grooms. It is a small job and it is included in a full groom, but it is worth asking for on its own if your dog is clicking on the floorboards.

It is one of the most common bookings we take from Broadbeach. A wash and blow dry starts at $60 and includes a proper brush out, which is the part that is almost impossible to do well at home without a yard, a hose and somewhere for the dog to shake. It also saves your bathroom.
My dog's nails click on the floorboards. Can I book just that?
Yes. Nail trims are included in a full groom, but if that is all your dog needs, say so in the booking notes. Apartment dogs walking on concrete and footpath often wear their nails unevenly rather than down, so they need doing more often than people expect.
What does a groom actually cost?
Full grooms start at $100 and washes start at $60. The final price depends on your dog's size, coat type and the condition it arrives in, which is why the booking page asks for size. A matted coat takes longer and costs more, and we would rather be upfront about that than surprise you at pick-up.
