Dog grooming in Miami
We are not a drive for you. Pets Juicy is on Mountain View Avenue, Miami, which for most of the suburb means you could walk the dog here and call it the morning outing. Grooming, washing and doggy daycare in one studio, Tuesday to Saturday, run by the same small team every week.
How far from Miami
You are already here. The studio sits on Mountain View Avenue, just off the Gold Coast Highway, between the Nobby Beach end and North Burleigh. Loading zone right out the front, free street parking either side, and no need to fight the highway to get to us.
Pets Juicy, 1/22 Mountain View Avenue, Miami QLD 4220. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 4pm. Booking is online only, which keeps the phone quiet and the dogs calm.

Book daycareBuilt for Miami dogs
Miami is the sweet spot of the southern Gold Coast and dogs are a big part of why. You have the beach at one end, Pizzey Park at the other, and a village strip in between that treats a dog on a lead as completely normal. Marketta on a Friday, the surf club on a Sunday, the walk up to North Burleigh when someone is feeling ambitious.
Being the local groomer for our own suburb means we see the same dogs constantly, and that changes the work. We know which Miami dogs swim daily and which ones have never touched salt water. We know the ones who go straight to sleep in daycare and the ones who need a quiet corner for the first hour. Nothing has to be re-explained at every booking.
It also means we are the easy option for the things nobody plans for. A dog that rolled in something on the way back from the park. A coat that got wet and dried badly overnight. A pre-holiday tidy up you forgot about until this morning. If you are in Miami and there is a slot, you are five minutes away from it.
What happens when you book
- You book online, not over the phone. Pick the service, size and time. Afterpay is available at checkout. Online-only booking is deliberate: it means nobody is juggling a phone while holding a nervous whippet.
- You tell us about your dog. Anxious, arthritic, hates the dryer, went badly somewhere else last time. All useful. None of it is a problem, and knowing in advance changes how we run the appointment.
- Same groomer, every time. Shane heads up the team with Risa, Callie and Anna. We keep dogs with the same stylist wherever the diary allows, because a dog that recognises the person holding the clippers is a dog that stands still.
- We work at the dog's pace. No stacked appointments, no rushing a senior dog through a dryer because the next one is waiting. If a dog needs a break, it gets one.
- You get an honest update. If we found a hot spot, a grass seed, an ear that needs a vet or matting that meant we had to go shorter than you wanted, we tell you at pick-up and we tell you why.
The breeds we see most from Miami
Across Miami we groom a genuine mix, which is what happens in a suburb with apartments at one end and houses at the other. Cavoodles, Frenchies, Staffies, Border Collies, Labradors, Groodles and a healthy run of Moodles and Spoodles.
Coat type matters far more than breed name when it comes to price and appointment length. We have written breed-specific notes for most of what we see: Cavoodle grooming, Moodle grooming, Spoodle grooming, Border Collie grooming and Staffy grooming. The full breed library covers the rest.
One thing we will not do is hand stripping. If your wire-coated dog genuinely needs it, we will tell you rather than clip a coat that should not be clipped.
Beaches, parks and the Pizzey Park question
Miami dogs are outside constantly, and the two places most of them end up are the beach and Pizzey Park. The rules are different at each and plenty of locals get it wrong.
Dogs are allowed on leash on most Gold Coast beaches, except in designated dog prohibited areas, and they are not permitted within 200 metres of the flagged areas. The City has designated only three beach locations where dogs can be exercised off leash: Tallebudgera Beach, Palm Beach and The Spit. That last point surprises a lot of people. Council rules do change, so it is worth checking the City of Gold Coast dog exercise areas page before you go. We last checked it on 11 August 2026.
Pizzey Park, on the Miami and Mermaid Waters border, has a fenced off-leash area and it is roughly two minutes from our door. It is the reason a good chunk of our mid-morning bookings arrive already tired, which quietly makes for a much better groom. A dog that has run for forty minutes stands still on the table. A dog that came straight from the couch does not.
The beach is the other half of Miami dog life and the other half of our washing work. Salt left to dry in a coat pulls moisture out of the skin and makes the hair brittle, and in double-coated dogs it is one of the main causes of matting behind the ears and under the legs. A rinse at home helps. A warm wash and a proper blow dry does the job.
If you are planning further afield, our verified guides to dog friendly beaches, dog friendly parks and dog friendly bars, restaurants and cafes are kept up to date.

Questions from Miami dog owners
Where exactly in Miami are you?
1/22 Mountain View Avenue, Miami QLD 4220, just off the Gold Coast Highway. There is a loading zone directly out the front and free street parking either side, so drop-off takes a minute. We are open Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 4pm.
Can I walk my dog here instead of driving?
Plenty of Miami clients do, and honestly it is the better option. A dog that has walked here arrives settled rather than wound up from the car, which makes the whole appointment easier. If you are walking from the Pizzey Park end you are looking at about fifteen minutes.
What does a groom actually cost?
Full grooms start at $100 and washes start at $60. The final price depends on your dog's size, coat type and the condition it arrives in, which is why the booking page asks for size. A matted coat takes longer and costs more, and we would rather be upfront about that than surprise you at pick-up.
When are you open and how do I book?
Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 4pm, at 1/22 Mountain View Avenue, Miami. Booking is online only, which keeps the phone quiet and the studio calm. Pick your service and size on the booking page and choose a time that suits.
Do you take Afterpay?
Yes. Afterpay is available at online checkout on grooming, washing and daycare, including daycare packages.
Can you handle nervous or senior dogs?
Yes, and it is a big part of what we do. Tell us in the booking notes. We work at the dog's pace, keep the same groomer across visits where we can, and skip the high-velocity dryer for dogs that find it frightening. For very anxious dogs we will often split the job across two shorter visits rather than push through one long one.
How often should a Miami beach dog be washed?
For a dog that swims most days, a wash and blow dry every two to three weeks between full grooms keeps salt out of the coat and skin. For a dog that walks the footpath and stays out of the water, every six to eight weeks with the full groom is usually plenty. Tell us what your dog actually does and we will give you a straight answer rather than sell you a schedule you do not need.
Do you do daycare as well, or just grooming?
Both, in the same studio. Half day is $35, capped at five hours, and a full day is $50. Group sizes are kept small with structured rest periods built into the day. A lot of Miami locals book daycare and a groom together so one trip covers everything.
Do you offer hand stripping?
No. We do not offer hand stripping. If your dog has a wire coat that genuinely needs it, we will say so rather than clip a coat that should not be clipped.
We also groom dogs from
Miami dogs also come to us for doggy daycare.
